ABOUT THE MAKER
Justin Beatty is a multi-disciplinary visual artist. He is of Ojibwe, Saponi, and African-American descent. He hopes to address cultural, spiritual, social, and political issues in Indigenous communities through his artwork. Justin is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was also commissioned through the Josephine White Eagle Cultural Center to create two murals for the Native American student’s floor in the Chadbourne Dormitory. Beatty is a cultural educator and a well-known intertribal pow-wow singer and emcee in New England.
