What I meant to tell you before. When we were youngsters growing up, we ate anything and everything that grew, from the time it sprouted until the time it became food, whatever it was.
We ate swamp apples. It’s a fruit that comes on the wild honeysuckle plant before the flower comes. We’d rummage through the woods to find these. We’d eat green apples from the time they were as big as the tip of my finger until they were the size they should be, if they were any left. –Gladys Widdiss.
